How to Manually Setup Yahoo Mail in Android



Yahoo Mail always had a conflicting relationship with the built-in email function of Android. If you have multiple email accounts, you might have tried to bring them all together into your Android mail app.

How to Manually Setup Yahoo! Mail on Android

1. Open the default Email app in your Android device.

2. Insert your Yahoo email account and select MANUAL SETUP.

3. Next, select IMAP as your account type.

Hint: IMAP is arguably the best way to connect your Yahoo Mail Account. This is mainly because it allows 2-way syncing, which means every change you do on one device will be reflected on all others.

4.  Insert your email password and hit Next.

5. Under Incoming server settings, make the following changes:

Server: android.imap.mail.yahoo.com

Port: 993

Security Type: SSL/TLS

6. Under Outgoing server settings, make the following changes:

Server: android.smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Port: 465

Security Type: SSL/TLS

7. Enjoy using Yahoo Mail on the built-in Email app of Android.
