Create Disposable Phone Numbers (Burners) with Hushed

0

Aside from shady or illegal things, there are a lot of situations in life where you need to contact someone but you don’t want them to have your permanent phone number. Whether you want to sell something online or you want to go out on a date without leaving too much of a trail, a burner will make things a lot easier. Besides protecting your identity, disposable numbers can also be used as a redirect, making the calls cheaper for the person calling.

However, if you’re not a resident of the US, obtaining a “burner” is close to impossible. Luckily, smartphones are one of the most common things of the planet, and the way we use disposable phones is drastically changing as technology evolves.

Hushed is an app that will let you set up and throw away phone numbers as you see fit. It’s all done virtually. You can even manage multiple disposable numbers with the Hushed app.

A free 3-day trial number allows you to send 20 texts and make 20 minutes worth of calls.

You can use Hushed to create new disposable numbers for more than 40 countries. The app is available for both Android and iOS.

Follow our quick guide below on how to install and use the Hushed app.

How to Use Disposable Numbers with Hushed App

1. Download and install the Hushed app from Google Play or Play Store, depending on your device.

2. Launch the app and create an account by inserting an email and password.

3. When you install the app for the first time, you are eligible for a free Hushed disposable number. Insert a 3 digit area code to claim your burner.

Note: You can also leave it blank to receive a totally random number.

4. Verify your identity and hit claim to receive your new disposable number.

5. Your burner is now configured. Use it to make calls, send texts or pass verification process.
